Travi$ Scott announced the new name of his upcoming album at a concert and has a couple of new songs leak online.
At a recent concert, Travi$ Scott took to the stage with his regular duties and used the time to announce the name of his next album.
Houston rapper Jacques Webster, better known by his stage name Travi$ Scott, released his last project, Rodeo, to critical acclaim last year after having delayed it a couple of times. The popularity of his last album has raised nothing but questions as to when his next release would come. Prior to the announcement of his next album, Scott took to the social-media platform SnapChat to post an update regarding his next project, which will be named Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (BITTSM)–the name being confirmed while on Rihanna’s “Anti World Tour.”

The name of the new album, Astroworld, was revealed as the follow-up album during a recent concert. It’s possible, but not particularly clear, BITTSM will be a prelude to Astroworld much like Days Before Rodeo was to Rodeo, but with the small amount of information available to the public, it can only be chalked up as pure speculation.
Being from Houston, it appears as though the inspiration for his album name potentially comes from the now-closed and demolished Six Flags Astroworld attraction in Houston. Astroworld first opened in 1968 and saw its last day on October 30, 2005. Another
coincidence with the relation of the Astroworld name to his album comes with what the current land is used for. Currently the former Astroworld land is being used as the 610 Lot for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo–Rodeo being the name of his last album. It’s likely Scott knew about the connection or it could be a coincidence that all of this has found a connection on its own.
Fans have been looking forward to new music by Scott more than anything. The last two official tracks released by Scott happened to come on New Year’s Eve with a rather unusual message attached to them.
My end of the year choices was spent on the kids.
More recently, however, Scott posted his version of the popular Madeintyo song “Uber Everywhere,” ensuring his fans knew the song he posted was “not a remix.” The song release came after it had originally leaked and angering Scott–who went to Twitter to show his displeasure.
During his more recent concerts, Scott has performed a song he calls “Pick Up the Phone” featuring Atlanta rappers Young Thug and Quavo–one third of the rap group Migos. The only version of the song making its way around the internet is one that was recorded from a set Scott DJ’d in France. According to a video posted by a fan at one of his other shows, it seems as though the release of the full version of the song is imminent, but knowing his history of releases, it’s possible Scott won’t be posting the song as soon as he says he will. In the same video Scott mentions the release of BITTSM, but that too could potentially have the same timetable for release.
As many Scott fans would have it, a couple of new songs were leaked yesterday by an unknown source. It isn’t clear whether the songs are newer or just old ones that didn’t make the cut of his album. “Party Till,” “Home,” “Dinosaurs” and “3 Wayz” were the four Scott songs to leak. All of the songs don’t sound particularly new as they have a sound similar to that of Owl Pharoah. Out of respect to the artist, we won’t be posting the links to the newly leaked tracks. In the meantime, here’s Rodeo:
