Shyfi, the Los Angeles-based multi-faceted artist, has just released her newest single “You,” featuring, and produced by, JD.
This release follows her last drop, “Get Me High,” featuring Providence’s Corcovado, and shows the ability Shyfi has in creating what sounds like two different genres of music. Where “Get Me High” comes in as a slower, almost blues-like track, her new track “You” does a 180 on what would have been expected to follow “Get Me High.”
“You” is more upbeat than her last release, but does remain true to an R&B song.
The Puerto Rican and Dominican Shyfi was raised in Miami, but has roots in her birthplace of Providence, Rhode Island. Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow and Shyfi continues to be a student to her craft — and also college — while enrolled in classes at Emerson College. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she says she’s busy honing her eclectic sound while also building on her visual production resume — including producing music videos and also releasing some of her own.
Her debut EP is set to release in 2019.
