Arguably two of the biggest, if not the top, artists in their respective Latin genres have brought their voices together for a remix.
The Dominican-Puerto Rican Ozuna, born Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, has called on Dominican bachatero Romeo Santos for the “Golden remix” to his song “El Farsante.” The video’s January 30 release has been teased by Ozuna for the past couple of weeks, though it wasn’t originally known at the time Romeo would be joining him on the track.

The video, shot in Puerto Rico, features three different storylines all related to love and one’s desire to be with the one they love. One storyline is based in a school where a student breaks into the principal’s office in order to profess his love to another student using the school’s public address system, another is a man hoping to be with a woman whose father does not approve his presence and the last is a woman and her struggle of her love who is in prison.
Within 24 hours of its release, the video had already amassed 13 million views. Romeo’s verse, however, has been turning heads and speculation has begun as to whether or not the world will get another Aventura record, considering his wildly successful solo career. The line could also be a play on the meaning of farsante – phony. He could be telling the truth or being a farsante.
No, ¿ahora qué hago?
You decide.
