With his debut album Dear Annie on the horizon, Irish rapper Rejjie Snow has released Dear Annie: Vol. 1, an EP featuring four new songs.
Rejjie Snow, born Alexander Anyaegbunam and formerly known as Lecs Luther, grew up part of “a distinct minority” in Ireland, according to the 2016 Ethnicity and Irish Travellers document. Of the 5 million residents in Ireland, they write, only 1.4 percent of them are black. Snow has been making his mark in music since Rejovich, his 2013 debut EP. The EP climbed the charts, eventually rising to being number 1 on iTunes’ hip-hop chart.
Snow didn’t last long when he signed to Honeymoon in 2016, as he quickly shot up to the Kevin Liles-headed 300 Entertainment, the label that Honeymoon is an affiliate of. Liles’ 300 Entertainment boasts a roster that includes Migos, Fetty Wap, Famous Dex, Kirko Bangz, Shy Glizzy, Young Thug and Tee Grizzley to name a few.
The Irishman went on to release The Moon & You in 2017 and is now gearing up for the release of his first full-length album. Dear Annie is currently slated to see a February 16 release. He wanted the album, he told The Fader in May, to feel like a movie.
“My time is yet to come to blossom into who I really want to be,” Snow told Fader. “But I can see it coming, I trust myself more than ever now.”
Finally. My first album. 16th February
Thanks for waiting on me. Love y’all

The cover art for the album is a photo of his friend’s mother when she was 18. “She’s got a big ginger curly afro,” he told them.
