Kid CuDi has delayed the release of his upcoming album.
After announcing the September 30 release date for his forthcoming album, Kid CuDi has delayed its release due to sample clearance issues.
Four months ago Scott Mescudi–best known by his stage name KiD CuDi–revealed the title of his forthcoming album and this week he announced the official release date along with the cover art for the album and a tracklist as well. Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ is the followup album to CuDi’s 2015 album, Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven.

The album is going to be broken into four acts, “Tuned,” “Prophecy,” “Niveaux de l’Amour” and “It’s Bright and Heaven Is Warm.” The album’s features–Pharrell, Willow Smith, Travis Scott and Andre 3000–are spread throughout the four acts, but with the newest revelation it isn’t clear if any of the songs will be affected.

Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ had its September 30 release date delayed today due to what CuDi said was because of “some minor sample clearances still being finalized.” With the information CuDi put out, it looks as though the album wasn’t going to be released today as there weren’t any preorders available from the announcement of the date. Here’s the official statement by CuDi:
