English singer Sam Smith has been busy since jumping into the scene in 2012. His 2014 release, In the Lonely Hour amassed sales and streams throughout the music market and led to his procurement of four Grammy awards. Four.
His new album was an emotional roller coaster of sorts for him. New York Times spoke to him on the tears that went into the project. Will Hermes writes, according to Rolling Stone, that The Thrill of it All is “a potent concept album that universalizes heartbreak from a distinctly LGBTQ point of view.”
