Listen: Franz Ferdinand Drops Single ‘Lazy Boy’ Off Upcoming Album

The "Take Me Out" collective release a new single.

With their upcoming album dropping next  month, Franz Ferdinand release their third single called “Lazy Boy.”

Franz Ferdinand, the Scottish indie rock band, has been working toward the release of their forthcoming album Always Ascending for some time now and its release date is now only a couple of weeks away. “Lazy Boy” is the third single to come from Always Ascending, following the title track and “Feel the Love Go,” both tracks have also received visuals.

To support the release of the album, the band announced a world tour earlier this month that begins today, January 25, in Tokyo. With the time difference, however, they have already completed their stop in Japan.

The five-man band is made up of vocalist and guitarist Alex Kapranos, bassist Bob Hardy, drummer Paul Thomson, keyboardist and guitarist Julian Corrie and guitarist Dino Bardot. Kapranos, Hardy and Thomson are founding members and have been with the band since its start in 2002 while Corrie and Bardot joined the band in 2017 after guitarist Nick McCarthy parted ways with the band in 2016.

Catch Franz Ferdinand at any one of the following tour dates, except, of course, Japan. Check out their album on February 9.
