Listen to an Electronic Spin on Holiday Classics with ‘Kaskade Christmas’

Get in the holiday spirit with Kaskade's first Christmas album

It’s not too late to get into the holiday spirit and listen to Kaskade’s newest release, Kaskade Christmas.

The Grammy-nominated Kaskade, born Ryan Raddon, is a Californian, but originally a Chicago native. He’s generated a following and has gotten so much support he dubs the mixture of support and fans the “West Coast Massive.” With this new project, Kaskade decided to put his own take on Christmas and bless us with a mixture of chill dance sounds that are good enough for any environment this holiday season.

With his take on classics such as “Deck the Halls,” featuring singer Erika, he puts a spin on it and gives it a groovy jazzy feel. “O Come Emmanuel,” sung by Skylar Gray, who will always give us a sense of calmness with her soft touching voice, is another standout on the project. Kaskade brings a new-age, fresh taste to Christmas songs we’ve been dying to have remade. He created new songs recreating and interpolating our holiday classics and we can all appreciate a project like it.

However, not all of the tracks were songs that were modernized. “Cold December” was a song that painted a picture of snow falling and drinking hot cocoa or a drive on a cold December night.

Whether you listen on your way to your family gathering, relaxing from work or heading to a NYE party, Kaskade Christmas will have a song for you to appreciate the holidays and another new year yet to come.
