John Mayer Releases Long-Awaited ‘The Search for Everything – Wave One’

John Mayer is back with new music

More than three years after the release of his previous album, singer John Mayer released his much anticipated EP today.

Mayer, known best for his songs “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” “Waiting on the World to Change” and “Gravity,” among others, hasn’t released much as of late, but it’s not because he hasn’t been working on music. Mayer has been touring with a band he’s a part of, Dead & Company, and have been touring on and off since 2015.

Currently, they have not released any studio recording, but the band has made available an album of their 2016 tour. The band currently has a 20-show tour in the works for 2017.

Since the release of the first single off of The Search for Everything – Wave One in November, he has been working on the release of the EP with “more to come.”

According to Billboard, “Love On The Weekend” was Mayer’s first single release since May 2014, where he covered Beyoncé’s song “XO.”
