The former My Chemical Romance guitarist and backup vocalist is headed to Massachusetts
Only a couple months out since the release of their newest EP, Keep The Coffins Coming, Frank Iero and the Patience are ready for a Worcester, Mass. tour stop.
It’s been quite some time since Frank Iero has made music with his My Chemical
Romance family, but he has since kept busy with his band Frank Iero and the Patience. The band is made up of guitarist and vocalist Frank Iero, guitarist and vocalist Evan Nestor, bassist Alex Grippo and drummer and vocalist Matt Olsson. His work with the band has separated what he has previously done and allowed him to make his own name and continue forward with making music.
This past September, the band released Keep The Coffins Coming, a four-track EP. The EP was recorded with legendary singer/songwriter/producer Steve Albini. The EP serves as the bridge between their debut and sophomore albums Stomachaches and Parachutes.
Iero said he wanted to work with Albini for a very long time. He said he wanted to work with him “…since I was, like, 11!’ I wanted to make a Steve Albini record!”
Interestingly enough, the band would record the EP and refer to themselves as “Frank Iero & The Patients” on the record. A variation of their name but making light of an accident the band went through in Sydney, Australia.
As Frank Iero and the Patience tour, they support Thursday & PUP. They only have a couple of dates left of their tour for the end of December. They play the following dates supporting Thursday & PUP as of writing:
12/28 – Huntington, NY @ The Paramount
12/29 – Worcester, MA @ The Palladium
12/30 – Sayreville, NJ @ Starland Ballroom
Tickets are still available online. You can listen to the band’s EP on any major streaming platform.
